Luzern Poster…

I found this poster while traveling to catch up with the group in Luzern. It was along the sidewalk next to the river placed at eye level.
I found it to be greatly influenced in the Objective movement with an International Style typeface.
It is a basic red and white poster referring to an upcoming Swiss festival taking place in Luzern from the 26-28 of June. It was made to inform the public of the event and was designed in with a simple illustration of the Swiss cross and silhouette of a yodeling woman.
The 55-5-5 rule is simply put to use by having a high contrasted image of the silhouetted woman seen from 55 feet, announcing the name and dates of the program from 5 feet, and showcasing the sponsors at 5 inches on the bottom of the poster.
You'll notice that I enjoy simple and clean layouts that grab your attention for this assignment unless of course others steal my posters, but it definitely attracted me to it for that reason. With such a vibrant red contrasted with the white it definitely is successful and will attract others due to the Switzerland colors and large shapes…
