Biodiversity

This poster was hanging on a stone wall just down the hill from the Tourbillon Caslte Ruins at eye level.  This poster is a postmodern poster.  It is very random with its images but they all fall in the same category of this in nature. There isn’t a real rhyme or reason to the positioning of the objects in this poster either, it follows no rules.  Also it is layered; the plants sit behind the animals, other plants and text.  And the butterfly and the flower add a lot of color to it in contrast with the white background. The concept is a biodiversity exhibit in the Musee de la nature in Sion.  The function is to let people know about this exhibit in a way that will catch their eye and get them interested in going to see what will be there. It also shows the diverse animals and plants that are showed at the exhibit, everything from flowers to butterflies to wolves.  From 55 feet the bright colors and large colorful writing catches your attention against the white background of the poster and also the bland color that the wall was on. From 5 feet you can tell when this exhibit will be showing and from 5 inches you can see that it is being shown at the Musee de la nature in Sion.  I was attracted to this poster because I like animals and find them very interesting. I think that is the crowd they are going for so the poster is successful in attracting the sort of audience that they would like to entertain. Also poster interested me because it makes me wonder what other animals are there at the exhibit on display. The bright colors make it very attractive and help a lot with the success of the advertisement
